Skin Myth: Lose the Lower Lash Liner

We’ve all heard the common misconception about how eyeliner beneath your eyes will only make them look smaller.  Well ladies, Sheryl is bringing that “eye-lie-ner” to a halting STOP, right here and now.  You CAN use it under your eye!

Eyeliner is the perfect way to add dramatic edge to your everyday look, and one that takes little to no time or effort.  Just apply a swipe of shadow for soft definition (our picks: Aveda’s Eggplant or Terraverte) or an eye pencil for vivid precision (Aveda’s Cacao Liner).  Choose a shade that complements your eye color best.  We suggests browns, bronzes and plum for lighter eyes, while forest greens, charcoals and rich blues work best for darker eyes.

1. Start by brushing or drawing your line close to the lower lashes,  from the outer corner inward.

2. Start with a faint line at first- you can always reapply with heavier pressure.   The line should be slightly thicker at the outside corner, becoming thinner as it moves toward your nose.

3. Simply remember to follow the shape of your eye.  Those beauties will be looking natural and appearing  larger in no time!

Feel free to play around with different application techniques as you go along.  Don’t forget to be creative and have fun!
