Skin Care with Sheryl
Skin Myth: Lose the Lower Lash Liner
We’ve all heard the common misconception about how eyeliner beneath your eyes will only make them look smaller. Well ladies, Sheryl is bringing that “eye-lie-ner” to a halting STOP, right here and now. You CAN use it under your eye!
Eyeliner is the perfect way to add dramatic edge to your everyday look, and one that takes little to no time or effort. Just apply a swipe of shadow for soft definition (our picks: Aveda’s Eggplant or Terraverte) or an eye pencil for vivid precision (Aveda’s Cacao Liner). Choose a shade that complements your eye color best. We suggests browns, bronzes and plum for lighter eyes, while forest greens, charcoals and rich blues work best for darker eyes.
1. Start by brushing or drawing your line close to the lower lashes, from the outer corner inward.
2. Start with a faint line at first- you can always reapply with heavier pressure. The line should be slightly thicker at the outside corner, becoming thinner as it moves toward your nose.
3. Simply remember to follow the shape of your eye. Those beauties will be looking natural and appearing larger in no time!
Feel free to play around with different application techniques as you go along. Don’t forget to be creative and have fun!
And The IDEA Goes To…
Congratulations are in order for the interior design firm, I am Studio, and the very talented designers Angie Mellgren and Amanda Monger for their achievements on Mango’s Short Pump location!
Awarded by the American Society of Interior Designers, Mellgren and Monger were honored with the 2011 IDEA for 1st Place in Retail Design.
Mango Co-Owners Bobbi and Pat Heaney couldn’t be more thrilled on their recognition for work on the salon: “We felt like they were truly interested in the success of our venture. We have received rave reviews on our design!”
Great Education, Great Design.
Ever wondered where we got that secret styling tip you were so excited to try last time you walked out of the salon… Were you ever curious as to how your designer delved out that new, fresh cut you fell in love with?
Question no longer! We’ll let you “behind the scenes” to experience the backstage work, classes and training that help make it all happen. We are proud to say a majority of design knowledge comes from within our own walls.
From image workshops and clipper cutting intensives with Michael to styling and consult classes with Hope, Sean and Ti, live demonstrations and detailed efficiency are just a few examples of what inspire Mango Designers to create. Color theory courses with Cathy, HeadMapping conception led by Kim, and the next Classic Cutting Series with Melvyn provide our team with ample resources on the latest training and concepts.
Design is about making things good, then better. It’s about making them right, then fantastic. Your look and style are no exception; you drive the passion to further knowledge in this exciting field!
